A dream is a little more than just an imaginative world that has slight chances of ever coming true...or even impossible. But it's good to dream.
My dream is a unified India and Pakistan. One government working towards a common goal. As complex as the current state of these countries may be, how are the interests of two nations different? Adequate provisions for all citizens, little crime, and the prevention of illegal activities would suffice.
In my opinion, it's no more than mistrust in one another, combined with the Hindu-Muslim rivalry. But it should be possible [in a hypothetical world]; if the Sikhs can thrive in both India and Pakistan, why are we still reduced to this futile hatred?
That mistrust has led to both India and Pakistan pointing the finger at each other in every controversial matter; it's also led to bloody fighting before. Why, I still ask? Aren't we all brothers and sisters, created as one? We were taught these principles at one point or another, but we still don't act on them.
I know it won't happen...maybe in centuries to come, but we all know that it should happen. Merging economies, diplomatic relations, and other aspects of two competitive governments is just not being practical.
It ends when the peoples of India and Pakistan stop teaching their younger generations slander and libel of their neighbor. It's these new generations that will shape the world...but unfortunately it's not even this one in the 21st century.
A dream can be called a dream only if you have the will to aspire. For if you do not, it's no more than an dissipating illusion.
Rutvik,
ReplyDeleteNoble thought..and maybe should happen over centuries..but right now no need to pull a thriving economy like India down by unifying it with a failed state like Pakistan.
Nice Thought and if we can succedd in making india and pakistan a nation it will become a superpower - Vishram
ReplyDeleteGood one bro ... try and find what are the defence budgets of both countries .... if we unite we will end up spending 10% of the amount for both countries ... so many troops who are on the borders both sides can start resolving internal conflicts ( Communists/Terrorist/LTTE's/Drug Mafia's Etc)
ReplyDeletegood thoughts RJ..but i dnt think dat ur dream ever comes true..
ReplyDeletereally really good thought, rudy ur thought reminds me a play mi nathuram godse boltoy, even i read one bookon nathuram godse( he assasinated gandhiji),he was hanged in 1949 for his sin,but still his ashes have not been visarjaned, means it is still thereinhis house, his dream was akhand hindustan,if it happens then only my ashes may be cremated, this is his wish,so every year, his family members do pooja of his ashes, read his last wish and keep it back.everybody should think like u specially in pakistan.keep it up rudy, very very gud thought
ReplyDeletenice thoughts son. ur thoughts reminds me one marathi play" mi nathuram godse boltoy",and one marathi book on gandhijis assasination. nathuram godse is gandhijis khooni, he killed gandhji because he wanted freedom of whole hindustan, he thought that gandhji is supporting for nirmitee of pakistan. nathuram was hanged to death as hewas wrong, but his ashes are still in his house, he wanted to do its visarjan in sindhu nadi which is in pakistan,he wrote in his will that whenever in futrue hindustan will unite means no pakistan, bangladesh, then only do visarjan of my ashes in sindhu river, every year his family members read his will , do pooja of his ashes and then keep it back. ur writing reminds me that, really really goodthought, but when we will realise all this and especially pakistani?
